Saudações de São Paulo!

It was that time again . . . a two-hour flight to Curitiba, recover and re-check bags, then an hour to São Paulo.  Smooth sailing!

Once again I'm not in the best part of town, but hey, the hotel is $25 a night, so I knew what to expect.  It's nicer a couple of blocks away.

About four or five blocks away to the north is Koreatown -- there's a stretch where every other building is a Korean restaurant.

Hurts your eyes!

And in the opposite direction is, you guessed it, a pedestrianized area!

PS Groceries here are cheap.  I got all this, enough for five sandwiches easy, for R$21 ($4)!

And ciggies are R$11 ($2).  Scoooore!
