If This is Thursday, It Must Be Perú

Another smooth flight, if a bit delayed, from São Paulo to Lima.

I had spent most of my leftover cash on ciggies, but still had enough for an overpriced ($4) admittedly yummy beef-filled pastry at the airport.

I'm staying in the San Miguel neighborhood, which is close to . . . nothing, so my Ubers are adding up fast! The street (avenida) itself is pretty nice.

BUT I'm staying in a "junior suite," AirBnB talk for a bedroom, on the 17th floor of an apartment building.  I have a terrible fear of heights, so this was a bit of a test for myself.  Here's the view from the window:

The first two days were a bit dodgy, but today is better, to the extent that I sat outside on the glass-walled balcony for my morning coffee/ ciggie.  I guess aversion therapy works, but I still avoid looking down!

PS You'd think it would be pretty quiet 17 stories up, but you'd be wrong :(  And the Limeños love their horns!
