Sanduiche Bauru

São Paulo's culinary claim to fame is, yes, a sandwich.  It was invented in 1937 in a restaurant named Ponto Chic, so I went there to try the original.


It has roast beef, tomatoes, pickles, and a mix of four kinds of cheese:


But, you ask, does it live up to its title?  Well, I will say it was a darn good sandwich, and the gooey cheese really made it.

Plus for $9 it was enough for two meals!
